To me, designing for the performing arts is one of the most complex types of creation. Every line on paper is a choice with purpose. If you achieve to make a statement through those choices, then you have created art.
About
I hold an MFA in Theatre Scenography from Virginia Tech (2019), and a MA in Material Culture and Public Humanities (2024). I am currently completing my PhD in Social and Cultural Thought.
My most recent works include the stage designs for Scotty Hardwig and Zach Duer’s Body, Full of Time (2019), Aline de Souza’s Stories of Migration (Spring 2025), and Nicole Bennett-Tuel’s entry for Climate Change Theatre Action (CCTA), The Anthropocene: The Time is Now (Fall 2025). As an aspiring scholar, my research explores the sociopolitical and economic forces that have shaped modern American theatre.
